Does Downloading affect Music CD Sales?
There is much conjecture on the subject of whether or not file downloading affects CD Music sales.
Recently the IFPI has slammed a UK study on the subject stating in part that:
The IFPI has responded swiftly to a new UK music downloading study that "may be misinterpreted as suggesting that illegal file-sharing stimulates rather than reduces legitimate music sales". Illegal file-sharing has an overwhelmingly negative impact on music sales, the organisation stated firmly.
